Economic Depression in Japan, EU Member Nations

| Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- The Japan Department Stores Association quoted survey data on July 19 as saying that Japan's department store sales in January-June fell 3.3 percent from a year earlier. This was caused by the decline of purchase power of inhabitants due to the economic depression. Construction output in the euro zone dropped by 1.1 percent in May, compared with the previous month, the EU statistics bureau Eurostat said on Tuesday. |
