It was in January 2006 that leader Kim Jong Il met six-year-old Ku Tae Hong and Kim Hyok Il, prodigies of the kindergarten, on the way of his field guidance.

Seeing calligraphic works and paintings produced by these children, the leader highly appreciated their distinguished talents. He learned about their hope and education for them and said that they should be effectively trained to become excellent talents. He gave them calligraphic and painting tools as gifts.

Under his loving care the children gave full play to their ability, displaying their distinguished skills at several national calligraphic and pencil drawing festivals.

In March and April this year he saw letters and collections of works presented by Ku Tae Hong and Kim Hyok Il, who are studying at the secondary course of Sinuiju College of Arts, and showed warm benevolence again for them.

The garden of talents in the DPRK is coming into fuller bloom under the warm sunshine.
