Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum

Pyongyang, July 25 (KCNA) -- Many people, including schoolchildren, have visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum in Pyongyang with the approach of the war victory day (July 27). The visitors total 3,000 on the average every day. Since the museum was opened in August 17, Juche 42 (1953), it has been visited by some 31 million people, including hundreds of thousands of overseas Koreans and foreigners. The museum houses historic relics and materials showing President Kim Il Sung's activities and feats in the period ranging from the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle to the Fatherland Liberation War. Displayed in the museum are sand tables, models and panoramic and semi-panoramic pictures, as well as weapons and other combat equipment. The museum provides the visitors with a good knowledge of the President's distinguished military wisdom, Juche-based military ideas, superb commanding art and noble traits. |
