Youth and Students in DPRK Mark War Victory Day

Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- An oratorical meeting of youth and students from across the country took place at the Youth Park Open-air Theatre in Pyongyang on Tuesday in celebration of the 58th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. The performers at the meeting praised the immortal feats performed by President Kim Il Sung for the victory in the war and expressed the resolution to remain faithful to the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il. Kim Kum Il, a student of Sinuiju University of Light Industry in North Phyongan Province, said in his oratory titled "Ever-victorious Brilliant Commander" that the President is a gifted strategist and ever-victorious iron-willed commander as he dealt a heavy blow to the U.S.-led imperialist aggressors and set a brilliant example of the anti-imperialist revolutionary war. Kim Un Gyong, a member of the youth league in Rason City, in her oratory "Matchless Pluck" referred to the President's personality as a great man. Foreseeing the victorious future of Korea, the President recalled soldiers to their universities from the front and saw to it that soldiers took part in the 3rd World Festival of Youth and Students during the war, she stressed. Kim Yong Hwa, a worker of the Capital City Passenger Transport Guidance Bureau, in her oratory "At a Breath" told about the indomitable mental power of servicepersons who have devotedly implemented the order of Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il in the construction of the Ryongrim dam of Huichon Power Station No. 1 as the heroic soldiers in the 1950s did. Jang Kwang Il, a student of Hamhung Railway Director Training College, and Ju Hyon Gol, a worker of the Kumya County House of Culture, expressed the iron will of five million youths never to pardon anyone if he or she encroaches on the dignity of the DPRK's leadership. Present at the meeting were Ri Yong Chol, first secretary of the C.C., the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, youth league officials and youth and students in the City of Pyongyang. |
