The tower, built on the 40th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the war, comprehensively shows the feats performed by the army and people in defending the country under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

A total of more than 6 million people of over 44 600 organizations visited the tower for 18 years since its completion.

The visitors recollected with deep emotion the feats by the President who shattered the myth of the "mightiness" of the U.S. imperialists who boasted of the numerical and technological advantages and brought about the beginning of a downhill turn for them with his Juche-based military idea, superb strategies and tactics and original military war methods.

They went round the monument to the President's autograph, the monument to the poem and the main sculpture "Victory".

Visitors also included many overseas Koreans and foreigners.
