209 terrorists were wiped out and about 680 weapons and a lot of ammunitions on an illegal deal confiscated in the North Caucasus region in the first half of the year, the Russian minister of Interior said on July 24.

In this period the terrorist acts in the region reportedly decreased 36 percent as compared with the same period of last year.
