Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Ro Song Sil, chairwoman of the C.C., the Democratic Women's Union of Korea, officials and members of the Union in Pyongyang.

The performance began with chorus "Song of Women," the song conjuring up deep memories. Their repertoire included such colorful numbers as dialogic poem "The Mangyongdae Family and Blessed Women", solo "The General Is Our Father" and poem and story-telling "Women Whom General Knows".

The performers impressively represented the feelings of profound thanks to General Secretary Kim Jong Il who has led the Korean women to grow up to be proud revolutionaries in the era of Songun, true to the intention of President Kim Il Sung who advanced the Juche-oriented programme for women's emancipation and unrolled a new history of sex equality.
