They included the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, the Confederation of Trade Unions and the Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy.

Speeches were made at the conference before a press release was read out.

The release deplored that the north-south relations are put in an irreversible state due to the Lee Myung Bak "government's" repeated anti-reunification policy for confrontation.

This is attributable to such guys as Hyon In Thaek who invented the confrontation policy like the watchword "no nukes, opening and 3000 dollars" and is engaged on the anti-DPRK smear campaign, grabbing power, it said, adding:

It is natural that Hyon, who once insisted on the abolition of the Ministry of Unification, cannot properly deal with the work related to reunification.

It is impossible to expect improvement of relations or dialogue with the north as long as such guy is allowed to stay in power, the release said, urging the "government" to remove Hyon from his office at once and show its willingness to improve the inter-Korean relations as the promise to implement the joint declarations.

All the forces supporting the joint declarations will get united as one to conduct an all-people campaign for impeaching and getting Hyon resigned, oust all the confrontation maniacs against reunification who are bringing the crisis of a new war and certainly judge the treacherous crimes of the Lee Myung Bak "government", it said.
