Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- Events were held in different countries between July 23 and 27 to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

They included meetings, photo exhibitions and film shows in South Africa and Laos and a lecture in Sweden.

Displayed at the venues of exhibitions were photos showing the Songun leadership feats of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and the heroic struggle of the Korean army and people in the war.

Present at the events were officials of the Mfumalanga Provincial Committee of the South African Communist Party, the South African Association of Friendship and Solidarity with Korean People, the Laos-Korea Tin Company and the Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and popular masses.

Appreciated at the shows were Korean films.
