Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the south Korean authorities discussed with the U.S. a scenario for a war of aggression against the DPRK at the meeting of the committee for logistic cooperation of the 43rd "annual security consultative meeting" held at the U.S. Pacific Command in Hawaii. Meanwhile, the south Korean authorities are contemplating staging large-scale joint military exercisers Ulji Freedom Guardian in collusion with the U.S. from August 16 to 26.

Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This is a deliberate provocation intended to chill the atmosphere of dialogue and further strain the situation on the Korean Peninsula to all intents and purposes.

They held such a dangerous confab with the U.S. to do harm to the DPRK in "contingency" under the pretext of logistic cooperation and announced their plan for the north-targeted joint military exercises quite contrary to the trend of the times.

This tells the south Korean authorities are only paying lip-service to dialogue but, in actuality, pursuing confrontation and war.

The logistic cooperation between south Korea and the U.S. is, in essence, cooperation in the war of aggression against the north.

The huddle held by the south Korean military group with their American master over the war scenario goes to prove that they are not interested in dialogue and peace and the process to improve the inter-Korean relations at all but are bent on war preparations under the signboard of dialogue.

If they truly desire peace and denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the improved inter-Korean relations, they should take practical steps to stop all kinds of war confabs and saber-rattling against the north.
