Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- The Meeting of Victims of the "National Security Law" in south Korea held a rally in Puyo, South Chungchong Province on July 23 to condemn the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors' indiscriminate repression by dint of the fascist law. In a statement the organization accused the Lee Myung Bak "government" of kicking off the suppressive racket against the progressive forces while violating the freedom of idea, expression and assembly by invoking the NSL. An increasing number of people, who were indicted on charges of the violation of the NSL by the authorities, have been acquitted, it noted, adding this shows how indiscriminate and outrageous the suppression on the strength of the evil law is. It also recalled that the repressive forces recently kicked off the crackdown on ten odd persons involved in the reunification movement by invoking the evil law. If the authorities keep defining fellow countrymen as enemy and repressing the pro-reunification patriots and people, they will certainly face a punishment by the nation, it warned. The organization declared that it would wage a dynamic struggle to get the NSL, a target of world public criticism, abrogated and fight at the risk of their lives till the day of reunification. |
