Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- The DPRK State Stamp Bureau recently issued a new stamp to mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and the European Union (EU).

Seen in the sheet is a photo of General Secretary Kim Jong Il receiving a visiting top-level EU delegation in May Juche 90 (2001.)

The DPRK and EU opened diplomatic relations on May 14, 2001.

Over the last decade, the DPRK has exchanged high-level delegations with EU and its member nations and cooperated with them in various fields.

EU decided to render emergency food assistance to the DPRK some time ago.
