Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- There are many things named after Taedonggang (River Taedong) in the DPRK.

Included in the factories named after Taedonggang are a bear factory, tile factory, eel breeding farm, combined fruit farm, combined fruit processing factory, pig farm and net factory.

From ancient times the Korean people had created their peculiar culture in the areas with the Taedong River basin as the centre. The Taedong River culture is viewed as one of the world's five ancient cultures.

Modern industrial establishments named after Taedonggang have appeared one after another in the country in the new century.
