Beijing, August 1 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Communist Party, the State Council and the Central Military Commission of China recently issued an opinion on strengthening education in defense under the new situation.

The opinion underlined the need to apply the law on education in defense in an overall way, give full play to patriotism and enhance the all-people conception of defense and thus promote construction and consolidate the national defense.

To strengthen education in defense is a common duty of the whole party and society, it said, urging the party committees and governments at all levels to attach importance to this work and properly organize supervision and inspection of the implementation of the law on education in defense.
