Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- DPRK Premier Choe Yong Rim inspected the flood-hit areas of South Hwanghae Province on the spot.

He visited flood-stricken areas including Chongjong-ri and Simphyong-ri of Chongdan County before holding a consultative meeting.

The meeting discussed on the issue of rehabilitating the destroyed reservoirs and facilities and inundated farm land in the province and underscored the need for commissions, ministries and national institutions to bring the living of the population in the afflicted areas to normal as soon as possible.

Earlier, the premier toured the Unha and Kumdang co-op farms in Onchon County and other places and called for increasing grain yield by putting farming on a scientific and technical basis as required by the Juche farming method.
