Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- The DPRK State Stamp Bureau recently issued new stamps as regards the UN declaration of this year as International Year of Chemistry and International Year of Forests.

The stamps include an individual stamp and a sheet.

Seen in the upper part of the stamps are Korean and English letters "International Year of Chemistry 2011" and "International Year of Forests 2011", as well as emblems symbolic of the themes.

The individual stamp contains photos of Dr. Ri Sung Gi, a Korean scientist who invented vinylon, and Curie Marie, a Nobel laureate who discovered radioelements.

The sheet carries a picture of schoolchildren planting trees.

The State Stamp Bureau also issued a sheetlet with pictures of cactuses growing in different countries.
