Moscow, August 1 (KCNA) -- The Russian Foreign Ministry in a recent statement criticized the U.S. State Department for attempting to apply a visa restriction to some Russian officials over the death of a lawyer during investigation in Russia.

The statement said the attempt to interfere in Russian judicial agencies' investigation and put pressure on them is intolerable.

Russia will never remain silent over the attempt, the statement warned.
