Pyongyang, August 3 (KCNA) -- Celebrated mountains in the DPRK are visited by many people to enjoy their summer views.

Breathtaking is the scenery of Mt. Kumgang in Kangwon Province, Mt. Myohyang bordering North and South Phyongan and Jagang provinces, and Mt. Chilbo in North Hamgyong Province.

Mt. Kumgang is characterized by saw-toothed peaks, white clouds hovering over stratified rocks and cliffs, thick foliage, twitter and loud echoes of waterfalls.

Mt. Myohyang is famous for many species of plants, beauty spots and waterfalls.

Mt. Chilbo is a spectacular sight in summer. The onshore mountain has big and small arch-shaped rocks washed by waves, fantastic cliffs with many legends and thick woods.

Mt. Jangsu in South Hwanghae Province boasts of deep valleys.

Mts. Kuwol, Soksung and Ryongak and the Ulrim Falls also draw many tourists for their peculiar views.

Tourist facilities have been updated in the mountains.
