Pyongyang, August 5 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea released a joint statement on July 26 to mark the 58th anniversary of the victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War.

July 27 is a victory day not only for the Korean people but for the world progressive people, it noted, and went on: The Korean people defeated U.S. imperialism and won a brilliant victory in the war under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

This put great spurs to the national liberation struggle and revolutionary movement in the world and started U.S. imperialism on the downgrade.

The Korean People's Army has grown incomparably stronger than what it used to be in the 1950s under the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The Communist Party of the People and the Organization of Young Communists of Spain said in a joint statement on July 27: The war is not over on the Korean Peninsula and the imperialists' provocations and threats to the DPRK are going on.

It extended unequivocal support and solidarity to the Korean people in their drive to build a thriving socialist nation.
