Pyongyang, August 5 (KCNA) -- Lebanese Shiite armed group Hezbollah issued a statement on Monday slamming the attack made by the Israeli army on Lebanese army units along the two countries' border areas earlier in the day.

"The Israeli enemy attacked the Lebanese army units in the Wazzani area and opened fire on them in a provocative and surprising way," the statement said. It added that this crime is a reminder for the Lebanese people of the aggressive nature of the Zionist enemy.

The army and people of Lebanon will resolutely beat back any military attack of the enemy, it stressed.
