Moscow, August 4 (KCNA) -- Dmitri Rogozin, Russian permanent representative to NATO, in a recent press conference clarified the stand of Russia opposing the deployment of the U.S. missile defense system in coastal area of the Black Sea.

Russia is opposed to the U.S. MD deployment in coastal area of the Black Sea though components of its system do not go against the interests of Russia, he said.

There is no justification to deploy weapons in this area, he said, adding: If warships of those countries which have nothing to do with the area are amassing on the Black Sea under the pretext of building the MD, this can not but go against the grain with Russia, he added.
