Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- The Construction Economy and Standard Institute marked its golden jubilee.

Established on August 7, Juche 50 (1961), the institute was splendidly built and achieved great successes in its research work under the care of the peerless great men.

President Kim Il Sung laid down policies for capital construction and ways for their implementation in every period of the revolutionary development and at each stage, wisely leading the work to make sure that vast construction was successfully carried out on a scientific and technical basis.

Leader Kim Jong Il published the work "On Bringing about a Fresh Turn in Capital Construction" on August 11, 2004 clearly indicating the way to be followed by capital construction in the Songun era.

A meeting was held to mark the anniversary on Saturday.

It was attended by officials concerned and the officials and employees of the institute.
