Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- The Iranian paper Iran News on August 3 dedicated an article titled "The Immortal Great Program for Korea's Reunification" to the 14th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's work "Let Us Carry Out the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung's Instructions for National Reunification."

In the work Kim Jong Il formulated as the three charters for Korea's reunification the three principles of national reunification, the ten-point program of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo advanced by President Kim Il Sung, the article noted.

He also indicated the concrete tasks and ways for realizing the reunification, it said, adding:

They include matters of settling the problem of Korea's reunification on the basis of the principle of national independence, achieving the great national unity on the principle of giving priority to the common interests of the nation, realizing Korea's reunification in a peaceful way, founding a national unified state by means of federation and improving the north-south relations.

The work has displayed its great might in realizing the cause of Korea's reunification over the last 14 years.

Amid growing desire of the Koreans to settle the reunification issue on the principles of national independence and great national unity as clarified in the work, the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and its action program the October 4 declaration were adopted and a new era of national independent reunification was opened in which the Koreans work hard to achieve national reunification closely rallied in the idea of "By our nation itself".

The Korean nation's desire for reunification will be surely realized when it thoroughly defends and implements the said declarations, embodiment of the three charters for national reunification.
