Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- The United Nations Assistant Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs called for taking powerful and unified measures to help the Horn people of Africa recover from the drought damage.

Speaking to reporters on August 1, he said the crisis should be solved urgently.

12 400 000 people in the Horn of Africa are in need of aid and more people will suffer if practical measures are not taken, he stressed.
