Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il sent over 150 volumes of some 130 books and magazines of different languages to the Grand People's Study House in July.

They are medical science, music, cooking, mechanical engineering and architecture books.

The medical books include "Reference Book about Diabetes" and "Most Efficacious Natural Therapies".

"Harmony Analysis", "Hearing" and other music books are necessary for enhancing the scientific and theoretical level of art education and improving experts' artistic ability and students' basic knowledge of music.

The cooking books introduce diets for diabetes and cancer.

Some of the new books and magazines deal with advanced architectural engineering technology and building materials.

The books and reference materials sent to the study house by Kim Jong Il from beginning of this year total 2 570 volumes of 1 480 kinds.
