Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki at a diplomatic function held on Thursday called on the international community to make concerted efforts to mitigate the devastating drought in the Horn of Africa region.

The devastating drought ravaging through the region, President Kibaki said, has left over 10 million in the region in dire need of humanitarian assistance. He underlined the need to prevent such disasters.
