Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- Myanmar is directing efforts to developing agriculture.

The minister of Agriculture and Irrigation on August 3 called on agricultural experts to hand down technique on production of high yield crops to farmers. Good agricultural methods should be widely introduced through TV, radio and newspapers, he added.

The total sown area is growing remarkably to about 13.7 million hectares thanks to the government.
