Beijing, August 9 (KCNA) -- Typhoon hit Zhejiang Province, China on August 7, bringing down many dwelling houses and devastating 690 hectares of farmlands.

363 000 people were evacuated.

The production was suspended in over 440 enterprises, highways destroyed and dams collapsed.

Emergency relief steps are being taken in the province.
