Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- Over 105 000 fries were released into large man-made lakes that appeared in the upper reaches of the Rivers Jangja and Chongchon as a result of the construction of huge dams in Huichon area of the DPRK.

Water at the Huichon dam reached 90 percent of its storage capacity. The level of water has reached more than 45 meters at the Ryongrim dam since it began storing water in July.

Many shrubs were inundated and planktons rapidly increased in vast areas, creating environment favorable for fish inhabitation.
