Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- More than 20 new departments have opened in central-level hospitals in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

A functional recovery centre has started its medical service in Kim Man Yu Hospital.

The 10-room centre works on stroke, trauma, bradyacusia and aphasia.

The Pyongyang Maternity Hospital has been newly furnished with an angiography department and an obstetrical anesthesia research center.

The department treats women with myoma by cutting off tumor-nourishing blood vessels, not in a surgical way.

The General Dental Hospital has seven new departments, including dental prosthesis shop, tumor surgical department and dental hygiene department.

A vitreous-retina department has come into being at the Pyongyang Ophthalmology Hospital.
