Beijing, August 9 (KCNA) -- China and Russia agreed to jointly cope with new international and regional threat and challenges.

The agreement came in a joint press release published at the end of the Russia visit of Chen Bingde, chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, from August 3 to 8.

The press release highly appreciates what the two countries have achieved in the development of the strategic cooperation partnership over the last decade since the conclusion of the bilateral treaty on good-neighbor friendship and cooperation.

Both sides also agreed to continue mutual visits and exchange of strategic views between the two armies.
