Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- Strong typhoon has swept different areas of China from August 4, causing damage.

According to the State Disaster Reduction Committee, 1 353 000 were evacuated and many dwelling houses pulled down or damaged in Shanghai, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong provinces as of August 8.

The number of the victims totals 3 649 800 and economic losses stand at 3.128 billion RMB.Y.
