Pyongyang, August 11 (KCNA) -- The United States plans to wage a military exercise, Ulji Freedom Guardian, with south Korea from August 16.

More than 30 000 U.S. troops and huge south Korean forces will take part in the exercise.

The annual drill drawing sophisticated weapons and even civilians is a nuclear war training against the DPRK.

With countries concerned moving for dialogue and cooperation over the Korean Peninsula, the exercise will hurt the atmosphere of dialogue and aggravate the situation of the region.

It will also increase the danger of war in the Korean peninsula.

Whenever an atmosphere of peace comes to the peninsula, the U.S. has used to bring the situation to the brink of war.

The U.S. intentionally strains the situation of the peninsula, going against the people's desire for dialogue and peace.

The Korean people love peace, but they will never allow others to bring the danger of war to the peninsula through military exercise.

The U.S. and the south Korean authorities should cancel the plan, deeply aware of the steadfast will of the DPRK army and people to strongly react to the exercise.
