Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery Draws Endless Stream of Visitors

Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- The Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong is visited by an endless stream of people to mark the anniversary of Korea's liberation. The cemetery is a monumental edifice in our era which reflects the firm will of the Korean people to preserve and carry forward the brilliant revolutionary traditions of the anti-Japanese struggle and to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche generation after generation, the cause that started in the forest of Mt. Paektu. The cemetery was rebuilt on an expansion basis on the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Workers' Party of Korea. More than 34.9 million servicepersons, people from all walks of life, school youth and children, overseas compatriots and foreigners have visited the cemetery over the past 26 years since then. |
