Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- The workers vanguard for reunification of the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions held a rally for peace and reunification in South Kyongsang Province on August 9 at which it called for implementing the June 15 joint declaration.

Speakers at the rally said that it has waged a positive movement to implement the joint declaration and dynamically struggled to defend peace on this land from all war threats.

But the present conservative authorities have pursued confrontation policies including "no nukes, opening and 3 000 dollars" in total denial of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration since the very day of their office, driving the inter-Korean relations to the worst crisis, they charged.

Always invariable are the will and desire of the people to oppose war and achieve the independent reunification of the country, they noted.

They demanded the "government" stop the act of going against the ardent desire of the nation for reunification and thoroughly implement the June 15 joint declaration, though belatedly.
