Nepal Bans Smoking in Public Places

Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- The Nepalese government took a new measure to ban smoking in public places in the country from August 7. Government offices, restaurants, airports, libraries, hotels, department stores and other public places have been designated no-smoking zones. Anyone selling tobacco products to persons under the age of 18 years and pregnant women will be fined. The Act also prohibits advertising and sponsoring programs in the name of tobacco-related products through media. |
