Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- Australia's consumer confidence fell in August, given the recent turbulence in global financial markets, latest survey showed on Wednesday.

The Westpac-Melbourne Institute consumer confidence index, released on Wednesday, showed a 3.5 percent fall in August to 89.6 points, its lowest level since May 2009.
