Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- The Korean song "Worthwhile Job", which was written by Pak Yong Hwan and composed by Jon Chang Il, is a theme song of the feature film "The Flourishing Village" created in Juche 59 (1970). The song is one of the Korean songs popular among Chinese people. The movie is based on a peasant family eliminating hangovers of old ideas after the completion of the agricultural cooperativization in Korea. Through the life of the family, the movie shows a Korean rural community undergoes great changes as required by the Theses on the Socialist Rural Question. The song, full of national feelings, reflects a happy life enjoyed by the villagers, helping and leading each other forward and reaping rich harvests of crops under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung. The song of cheerful melody is still favored by not only the Korean but Chinese people. Shenyang citizens in Liaoning Province, China re-wrote the song based on their life and call it "Song of Shenyang." |
