Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Il, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Monday sent a message of greeting to Dmitri Anatoliyevich Medvedev, president of Russia, on the 66th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The message said:

On the 66th anniversary of Korea's liberation, I extend greetings to you and, through you, the Russian people.

I wish you success in your work, convinced that the relations between the DPRK and the Russian Federation will develop in line with the common interests and desire of the peoples of the two countries.
