Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, issued a statement on August 7 to mark the 51st anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's first start of Songun revolutionary leadership.

He said in the statement Kim Jong Il has brought the national power of the DPRK to the highest level by providing Songun leadership for more than half a century.

The spirit of the Korean People's Army devotedly defending the leader is winning the admiration of the world people, he noted, and added: The single-minded unity of the DPRK has grown as firm as a rock thanks to the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il.

He laid down the line of economic construction in the Songun era and has energetically led the struggle to implement it.
