Pyongyang, August 15 (KCNA) -- Major newspapers of the DPRK Monday dedicate editorials to the 66th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

Recalling that President Kim Il Sung accomplished the cause of Korea's liberation, Rodong Sinmun says: It was a historic event as it provided the Korean people with the true right to existence and made it possible for Korea, once eclipsed on the world map, to demonstrate its dignity as a full-fledged independent and sovereign state.

The President in his speech made upon his triumphant return home called on all Koreans to make tangible contributions to building a new country, those with strength dedicating strength, those with knowledge devoting knowledge and those with money giving money. This reflects his far-reaching intention to glorify Korea as an invincible power to be envied by the world by enlisting their inexhaustible strength and creative wisdom. He explored the path of socialism in a unique manner, covering the untrodden road of revolution, and led it to a shining victory. Leader Kim Jong Il wrote a heroic epic about patriotic devotion to glorify the DPRK as Kim Il Sung's Korea before the whole world from the very day he started his revolutionary leadership.

The red flag of the Songun revolution held high by Kim Jong Il during the arduous march when the imperialists' vicious moves against socialism and the DPRK reached an extreme phase, in particular, was the banner for accomplishing the cause of perpetuating the memory of the President and a signpost of love for the country, the nation and the people.
