Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- Suneet Chopra, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) who is secretary general of the All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association, made public a statement on August 12 on the 66th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

August 15, 66 years ago, was the day when the Korean nation was freed from the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists by President Kim Il Sung, the statement said, and went on:

It was thanks to the new spring of the national liberation the President brought by leading the hard-fought anti-Japanese war that the Korean nation was rescued and Korea, once eclipsed on the world map, could imposingly stand as the country of Juche and a socialist power.

The Korean people are looking up to the President as an eternal benefactor of national rebirth and the great father.

The All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association will do its best to let the broad Indian public know about the immortal feats of the President who devoted his whole life to global independence.
