Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- The 25th Pyongyang International Invitational Table Tennis Tournament was opened with due ceremony at the Table Tennis Gymnasium in Chongchun Street in the DPRK on August 16.

This annual event brought together players from China, Russia, Mongolia and the DPRK (groups A and B). They will compete in men's and women's team events and men's and women's singles and doubles from August 16 to 19.

Present at the opening ceremony were Pak Kyu Hong, director of the Rungrado Guidance Bureau who doubles as chairman of the Table Tennis Association of the DPRK, officials concerned, etc.

An opening address was made to be followed by men's and women's team events.
