Pyongyang, August 17 (KCNA) -- The Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Committee of Nepal released an information bulletin "Warm congratulations to the heroic Korean people on the 66th anniversary of the auspicious national liberation" on August 11.

The bulletin said in an article that President Kim Il Sung brought about the liberation of Korea on August 15, 1945, overcoming all difficulties amid snowstorms in Mt. Paektu.

It continued:

All Koreans in the north and the south and overseas deeply revere him as lodestar of national liberation.

Korea's liberation from the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule instilled confidence into the people in colonial countries struggling for achieving national liberation and inspired the world progressive people in their struggle.

The heroic Korean people are now dynamically advancing to build a prosperous and powerful state and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under the Songun leadership of Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.

The Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Committee of Nepal joins the world progressives in celebrating the historic day of Korea's liberation and extends invariable support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just cause.
