Pyongyang, August 17 (KCNA) -- Ri Hyang Sun, a DPRK woman shooter, won the 25m rapid-fire pistol event of the 5th World Military Games held in Brazil on July 23.

Ri scored 577 points despite unfavorable weather condition.

She also made a big contribution to the DPRK team winning the 25m sports pistol and 25m rapid-fire pistol events held on July 19 and 22. Therefore, she bagged three gold medals in the games.

The girl took gold medals in the 10m air pistol event of the 10th Asian Shooting Championship in 2004 and 25m rapid-fire pistol team event of the 4th World Military Games in 2007.

Ri told KCNA that she wanted to make good results in the games to live up to the expectation of Kim Jong Il, supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.
