Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Suk Library in Peru on August 8 published a bulletin on the 66th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The bulletin carried an article illustrated with a portrait of smiling President Kim Il Sung.

The article said:

Korea was overcome with the joy at liberation in August of 1945.

General Kim Il Sung, legendary hero of the anti-Japanese war, made a deep insight into the situation inside and outside Korea and, on this basis, indicated the way for liberated Korea to follow.

It was the hope of the Korean people to build a new society on their land.

How to lay down a correct line for building a new country presented itself as a vital issue for all Koreans.

Kim Il Sung made a speech "On Building the Party, State and Armed Forces in the Liberated Homeland" on August 20, 1945.

This speech became a beacon which indicated the road to be followed by the Korean people.

He founded the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and turned it into a rich and powerful independent and sovereign state.

He eliminated the reactionaries and formed the democratic national united front, laying a solid foundation for building a democratic and independent state.
