Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- The 6th national exhibition of university scientific research successes was opened with due ceremony at the Three-Revolution Exhibition on Thursday.

On display at the exhibition are more than 1 900 valuable data achieved by teachers and researchers of at least 90 universities here and local areas.

The exhibition is divided into over 20 panels including light industry, agriculture, metal industry, power industry, railway transport, machine building, electronics and automation and medical science. They will offer opportunities of introducing and exchanging the successes made in solving scientific and technological issues arising in practice in recent years.

Present at the opening ceremony were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, university presidents and rectors, officials concerned and others.
