Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a joint statement on August 12 to mark the 66th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The statement said that the Korean People's Revolutionary Army (KPRA) liberated Korea on August 15, 1945 under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung, gifted strategist and invincible and iron-willed commander.

Korea's liberation put an end to the dark era of the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule. The Korean people were freed from the oppression and fetters by the Japanese imperialists and greeted the dawn of independence, it noted, and continued:

Korea's liberation was the most valuable gains Kim Il Sung brought about by leading the heroic KPRA to victory with his Juche-oriented guerrilla war method.

The anti-Japanese armed struggle proved the truth of the Songun idea.

The anti-Japanese armed struggle conducted under the revolutionary banner of Juche greatly inspired the oppressed people in the world in their struggle for independence.

This served as a model for the world people working hard for independence against imperialism and colonialism.
