Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- A Nepali paper and a Palestinian magazine carried special write-ups on the 51st anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of the Songun revolutionary leadership. A Nepali paper on August 1 carried an article titled "Songun and Kim Jong Il" with his portrait. Kim Jong Il has developed in depth the Songun idea founded by President Kim Il Sung, the father of socialist Korea, and formulated the Songun politics as the basic political mode under socialism, the paper said, and went on: The Songun politics is the most effective political mode which guarantees the triumphant advance of the cause of socialism and independence despite the ever-more undisguised high-handed and arbitrary practices of the imperialists. Kim Jong Il put forward the Korean People's Army as the main force of the revolution and put the national power on the highest level by relying on it. The DPRK, therefore, could firmly defend socialism in the worst adversity. It is now advancing towards the high eminence of a thriving nation by leaps and bounds. It is thanks to his Songun politics that a solid foundation was laid to achieve the independent reunification of the Korean nation. All the attempts of the U.S. and the south Korean warlike forces to ignite a new war in the Korean Peninsula have been foiled and the regional peace and security firmly guaranteed. The international position and authority have been enhanced thanks to his Songun politics. The August issue of the Palestinian magazine Ilal Amam edited an article headlined "Kim Jong Il, Songun leadership and modern Korea" with his photo. |
