Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- The fifth informal summit of the heads of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) member-states took place in the Kazakhstan's capital city of Astana on Friday.

The presidents of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan were present at the meeting.

The leaders of CSTO member states planned to exchange views on key international problems, including the situation in the Middle East, North Africa, as well as in the organization's member states. They also discussed certain aspects of the organization's work and ways to make it more effective.
